I've had this problem last week on a WIFI network, all devices worked but Windows 8 simply refused to use the network. Access was granted, IP setting were correct but no internet access and the WIFI network kept stating that it had limited access.

I found the solution after some googling and trying different things:

• Open an elevated command prompt (run as administrator) and issue these two commands to reset winsock and the TCP/IP stack:

netsh winsock reset catalog 

netsh int ip reset reset.log hit 

Note that Windows needs to reboot, but after that WIFI works!
